As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our local retail store, your role will involve executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you'll adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairing facilities, equipment, or fixtures.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in trades such as plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills and tools
• Utilize the work order management system to support stores and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely

Compensation:

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications...

• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or material handling, OR 5 years' experience in these trades
• Valid Driver's License
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Preferred Qualifications...

Optional qualifications include completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program, a trade-related license, or proficiency in office software. A related trade license and intermediate skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint are also preferred.
