Position Summary

Walmart is expanding its workforce and seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. If you have experience in maintenance, bring your skills to our fast-paced environment!

What you'll do

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of Walmart stores. Under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, you will follow maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, clean, and repair facilities, equipment, or fixtures.

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent ladder use and working at heights
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Work in various temperatures
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and pass MVR
• Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades like plumbing, electrical, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and equipment using multiple craft skills
• Use work order system for reactive repairs and documentation
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues
• Complete safety training for equipment and tools

Compensation

Hourly wage range is $19.00-$35.00, based on experience and location. Additional premiums may apply depending on schedule and work performed.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in trades like plumbing or electrical, or 5 years' experience in related trades. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for CDL preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year vocational/trade program, trade license, and proficiency with standard office software are preferred.
