Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a technician to tear down and evaluate components sent for repair and to operate hydraulic test equipment and related tools in a hands-on capacity.

The role requires reading schematics and blueprints, performing troubleshooting, and communicating with vendors for parts and services. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document emailing is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Tear down and evaluation of components sent in for repair
• Using hand/power tools and machining equipment (e.g., drill press, lapping machine, lathe)
• Reading schematics/diagrams/blueprints
• Hydraulic test equipment operation, including flow meters, data acquisition, multimeter, calibrators
• Testing hydraulic systems
• Troubleshooting circuits
• Test stand operation
• Vendor communication for parts and service
• Component assembly
• Hydraulic component failure analysis
• Working with Microsoft Office programs
• Quoting repairs in Excel and Word
• Emailing documents in Outlook
• Other duties as assigned
