Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Technician Fiber Installation to set up and maintain fiber optic networks, ensure uninterrupted service, and troubleshoot issues for customers. The role requires driving to job sites, installing and configuring equipment, and educating customers on usage.

Qualified applicants should be 18+, authorized to work in the U.S., and have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, setup and configure all equipment
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines

What you’ll need

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.

• Occasionally : use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Technician Fiber Installation is $20.00 - $26.00 .
