Job summary

Prince Telecom LLC is seeking a Technician Fiber Installation to set up and maintain fiber optic networks, ensuring reliable service for customers in the Garner area. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot equipment, educate customers on usage, and handle overtime/travel as needed.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record; you’ll work to keep networks running smoothly and persuasively support customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; relevant work experience accepted.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone per guidelines.
• Install, setup and configure all equipment.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Review requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
