Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a dedicated Technician Fiber Installation to install, test, and maintain fiber optic networks for residential and business customers, ensuring reliable connectivity, rapid issue resolution, and professional interactions with clients across sites.

Responsibilities include configuring equipment, troubleshooting faults, and educating customers on service usage; you must be able to work in all weather and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (not provisional) with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone systems based on guidelines.
• Install, set up and configure all equipment.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer‑perceived issues.
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on‑call/after‑hours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse.
