Job summary

Prince Telecom, LLC is hiring a Fiber Installation Technician in Reading, PA to set up and maintain fiber optic networks. You will install, troubleshoot, and configure equipment, while keeping customers informed and satisfied through clear explanations and proactive service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work in all weather, and a valid driver's license. Team support, reasonable OT, and commitment to safety are emphasized throughout training and daily

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (no provisional) and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services per guidelines
• Install, setup and configure all equipment
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, setup and configure all equipment

• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces, alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
