Job description

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment
Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete maintenance jobs
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders
Support stores and store associates and document repair activities
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
Execute routine maintenance tasks under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager
Follow established maintenance schedules and guidelines
Conduct inspections, cleaning, and repairs to uphold facility safety, functionality, and appearance

Requirements

18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
Able to move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Able to work in various temperatures
Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report
Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area, or 4 years' experience in those areas
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five years
Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years

No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years

No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years

Must complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
