Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Shreveport, LA seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to enhance reliability of plant systems. You will read manuals, troubleshoot complex electrical/instrumentation issues, calibrate field instruments, and work with PLCs and high voltage equipment to minimize downtime.

Strong safety awareness is required. Minimum 2 years in I&E maintenance and relevant technical knowledge are essential, with value placed on certifications and industrial

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electrical systems maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Instrumentation and Electrical components and systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment used in I&E troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to electronic systems.

  • Repair and calibrate pneumatic field instrumentation.
  • Repair and calibrate electronic field instrumentation.
  • Excellent electrical/instrument troubleshooting skills.

  • Troubleshoot electrical/instrument issues and know PID tuning fundamentals.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and reliability of electronic systems that are vital to our operations. Your technical skills and problem-solving abilities will be essential in minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Experienced technician.
  • Performs assignments of an advanced nature requiring use and application of standard
  • maintenance methods and tools.
  • Read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and P&IDs
  • Repair and calibrate pneumatic field instrumentation
  • Repair and calibrate electronic field instrumentation
  • Excellent electrical/instrument troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of PLC's
  • Properly use high voltage test equipment
  • Re-fuse high voltage lines
  • Remove and repair switchgear
  • Properly size and install wire and conduit
  • Troubleshooting electrical/instrument issues
  • Working knowledge of process control fundamentals
  • Know PID tuning fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of DCS systems
  • Working knowledge of motors and motor controls
  • Know and troubleshoot various types of lighting, lighting fixtures, and photocells
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electrical systems maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Instrumentation and Electrical components and systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment used in I&E troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to electronic systems.
