• Hourly Pay: $27.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
• Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance like oil changes, brake and tire work
• Two (2) years or more of classroom training and work experience, preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred

Note: This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. You must:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass Ryder Drug Test
• Pass DOT physical
• Pass Ryder road test
• Pass Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Perform standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical/electronic problems
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
• Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Follow all safety, DOT, MOT guidelines
• Support operations as needed, including Service Island support
