We are immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Entry Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Georgetown, Kentucky.

• Hourly Pay: $25.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: Second Shift, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance
• Two or more years of related training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks

• Standard component inspections and repairs
• Preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Facility maintenance
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Use shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Follow safety, DOT, MOT, and other compliance guidelines
• Support operations as needed, including service island duties
