Position Summary

The Dialysis Tech will prepare and operate dialysis machines, monitor patients throughout treatment, and ensure safe and effective care for individuals with kidney failure.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare dialysis equipment and ensure it functions correctly before each treatment.
  • Perform patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis.
  • Monitor vital signs and patient reactions, reporting abnormalities to medical staff.
  • Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment logs.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis equipment and treatment areas.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols strictly.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients about dialysis care.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an approved Dialysis Technician training program.
  • Previous dialysis experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.
Required Skills

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.
