Job Overview:

As a Hemodialysis Technician, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, perform hemodialysis procedures, order & stock supplies, disinfect/ clean RO system, jugs & machines, and perform environmental safety checks of the unit.

Trinitas offers expertise in renal disease diagnosis and treatment. Our renal program has a 5-star CMS rating for excellence in patient care. Our staff and physicians bring years of experience, operating across three convenient locations. We focus on accurate diagnosis, treatment, and early intervention for at-risk patients.

All three Trinitas dialysis facilities have achieved 5-Diamond status through the Quality Insights Renal Network 3, recognizing our commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • At least one year of dialysis work experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Certified as mandated by CMS as a Dialysis Technician
  • BLS through American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift working, M-W-F 5:30AM - 8:30PM, T-TH-S 5:30AM - 4:00PM
  • Scheduled rotating Saturdays
  • Full-Time

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare patient stations and hemodialysis equipment
  • Recognize and correct issues with dialyzer leaks or line defects
  • Record patient weights pre- and post-treatment
  • Initiate and terminate treatments per policy
  • Respond to alarms and adjust treatments accordingly
  • Demonstrate competence in vascular access cannulation
  • Monitor vital signs and infusion of heparin
  • Obtain blood specimens accurately
  • Create a comforting environment respecting patient modesty and autonomy
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain equipment logs and perform water testing and disinfection procedures
  • Ensure patient safety and proper treatment documentation
