Part-time Associates can move to full-time within their department after probation, which is three months for full-time and four months for part-time employees working more than 3/5 of a week.

Position: CATSCAN (CT) TECHNOLOGIST

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, performs diagnostic imaging studies, requires independent judgment, and may lead staff technologists. Responsible for procedures, safety, training, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

1. Patient and Room Preparation: Enter data, position patient, obtain scout film, set up monitors and controls.
2. Obtain images: Set exposures, operate equipment for high-quality images.
3. During procedures: Assist radiologist, monitor procedure, operate injector.
4. Workflow adherence: Track exams in IDXRad, verify images in PACS.
5. Image processing: Photograph, label, process, and display images.
6. Records maintenance: Keep logs of films, fluoro time, injections.
7. Safety: Follow radiation safety rules.
8. Training: Train staff and students.
9. Other duties: Maintain order, perform additional tasks as needed, establish vascular access, monitor patient reactions, review blood work.

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of radiologic technology training in CT, ARRT certification.
3. State license & Injection certification in NY.
4. Ability to operate imaging and tracking systems.
5. Good communication skills in medical terms.
6. Knowledge of angiographic and interventional procedures.
7. Training in immobilization for various patient groups.
