Job summary

Nixon Power Services is the world’s largest distributor of Kohler Power generators, with a centennial track record of reliability and service. We’re seeking a Generator Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and installation on standby generator systems to ensure top‑notch performance for a world‑class customer experience.

Ideal candidates have 1–5+ years of generator experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a technical training background.

Qualifications

• Diesel/gas generator experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units.
• Install and test new generator units.
• Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.

What You’ll Be Doing:
