SunStrong Management is seeking a Technician 3 to diagnose and troubleshoot solar systems and to lead field crews on service work. You will handle inverter faults, system underperformance, and complex issues, ensuring first-pass resolution and quality workmanship.

The role requires 2+ years in solar, strong communication and leadership, a valid driver's license, and ability to supervise Tech 1 and Tech 2 on site. Outdoor roof work and driving are part of the job responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of solar industry experience.
• Proven troubleshooting capability and leadership.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lead field crews on service work.

THE TECHNICIAN 3 POSITION

SunStrong is searching for a technician 3 to be responsible for solar diagnostics, troubleshooting, and leading field crews on service work.

TECHNICIAN 3 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and resolve solar system issues:
• Inverter failures
• System underperformance
• Complex troubleshooting
• Lead crews on service jobs
• Direct and support Tech 1 and Tech 2 team members
• Ensure high-quality work and first-pass resolution

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of solar experience
• Proven troubleshooting capability
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Valid driver’s license (subject to driver record check)
• Crew Lead for solar service work
• Roof and electrical competent
• Solar diagnostics and repair expert
• Authorized for battery (ESS) work

woRKING conditions

• Outside roof work required
• Driving required
