Job summary

SunStrong Management is seeking a Technician 3 to diagnose solar system issues, troubleshoot complex problems, and lead field crews on service work. This role requires hands-on solar experience and the ability to manage crew performance.

You will support Tech 1 and Tech 2, ensure first-pass resolution, and uphold high safety and quality standards while working on rooftop installations. A valid driver’s license is required, with potential driver record checks.

THE TECHNICIAN 3 POSITION

SunStrong is searching for a technician 3 to be responsible for solar diagnostics, troubleshooting, and leading field crews on service work.

Technician 3 Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve solar system issues:
• Inverter failures
• System underperformance
• Complex troubleshooting
• Lead crews on service jobs
• Direct and support Tech 1 and Tech 2 team members
• Ensure high-quality work and first-pass resolution

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of solar experience
• Proven troubleshooting capability
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Valid driver’s license (subject to driver record check)
• Crew Lead for solar service work
• Roof and electrical competent
• Solar diagnostics and repair expert
• Authorized for battery (ESS) work

woRKING conditions

• Outside roof work required
• Driving required

• Extended period outdoors.
