Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions is seeking a Technician III to diagnose and repair heavy-duty forklift equipment and related systems. You will work in the field and shop environments, traveling to customer sites to ensure uptime and safety, representing Briggs with professionalism.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of repair experience, proficiency with precision measuring tools, and a valid driver’s license. On-call availability and travel to client sites are required, with a strong commitment to

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience repairing medium to heavy-duty vehicle/industrial forklift repairs, including PMs, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and powertrain components.
• Ability to read precision instruments including micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment including diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical, lifting systems.
• Focus on Yale, Hyster, Taylor, and Ottawa brands.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and failure analysis to meet safety standards.
• Follow Briggs, OSHA, DOT, and customer safety requirements and promote a Safety-First culture.
• Document work, manage parts and tools, and maintain a clean service vehicle.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Technician III, you’ll be the trusted expert customers rely on to keep their trucking and rail transportation equipment.

Your work will prevent downtime, protect people, and keep operations moving—all while representing Briggs with professionalism and pride.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair equipment, to include diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems, both in the field and in the shop.
• Focus on Yale, Hyster, Taylor, and Ottawa.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and failure analysis to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and safety standards.
• Work safely every day by following Briggs, OSHA, DOT, and customer safety requirements—and helping lead a Safety-First culture.
• Document work accurately, manage parts and tools, and maintain a clean, safe company service vehicle.

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of experience repairing medium to heavy-duty vehicle/ industrial forklift repairs to include PMs, troubleshooting, computer diagnostics, brake systems, fuel systems, engine / powertrain components, aftertreatments, transmissions and tire/wheel.
• Ability to read precision instruments including micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges.
• A valid driver’s license, your own tools, and the ability to work on-call and travel daily to customer sites.
