Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power Technician 2 in Denver, CO. Work in the field with up to 75% travel and specialize in low, medium, and high voltage switchgear, breakers, motor starters, VFDs, load break switches, transformers, load banks, and batteries.

Responsibilities
  • Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience and/or training.
  • Proven knowledge of electrical principles and design.
  • 8+ years of formal technical training.
  • 10+ years of experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical switchgear (low and medium voltage).
  • Knowledge of protection relays and meters.
  • Positive, self‑starter who enjoys teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift objects typically less than 75 lbs.

Physical Requirements
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts, travel, and standby as needed.
  • Stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk over uneven terrain without assistive devices.
  • Move extremities and spine through a functional range of motion from ground to overhead level.
  • Good finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and sufficient grip strength for tools and ladders.
  • Pass the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and post‑offer physical abilities assessment (lift 60 lbs., push/pull 80 lbs., carry 60 lbs., climb stairs/ladders, carry 15 lbs. while climbing, stoop, kneel, and squat).
