Job summary

Sednair in Northern Houston, TX, seeks a Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain centrifugal compressors and related components. The candidate will use operations and parts manuals for equipment handling and commissioning.

The role requires 2–5 years in the centrifugal compressor field, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. On-site work with occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years experience in centrifugal compressor industry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with a clean record.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, and basic math/computer skills.
• Experience with CNC machining is a plus.

Join Our Growing Team! Sednair seeks a Technician for our newly opened office in Northern Houston, TX.

Job Summary:

The Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the Centrifugal Compressor and compressor components. The right candidate will need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning and start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressor and compressor components.
• Documents service and installation activities, maintenance checklist, and daily time sheets
• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

• This is an onsite position with travel up to 20%
• OT as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years experience in centrifugal compressor industry
• Good attendance, professional attitude, and teamwork. Work with the team on ordering and preparing parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs
• Ability to use various power hand tools, to understand schematics and diagrams, basic math and computer skills
• Ability to operate CNC machining work centers is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit and Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving
