Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Technician 1 Aggreko Event Services based in any US City near an Aggreko facility. You will join an elite technician team delivering temporary event power solutions tailored to venue needs for live sports and media productions.

Responsibilities include installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing generators and electrical equipment, reading schematics, and maintaining safety compliance. Extensive travel is required, up to 75%, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Technician 1 Aggreko Event Servicesbased in any US City near an Aggreko facility.

You’ll provide specialized broadcast power support for live sports and media productions with networks such as ESPN, NBC, and CBS, understanding their unique site setup requirements and timelines.

What you'll do as a Technician 1 Aggreko Event Services

• You will be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects for temporary event power solutions – scalable, secure, and sound-attenuated power generation tailored to venue needs.
• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
• Install and commission for Events Services and other complex projects
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Events Services and in the service centers
• Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ensure the completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
• Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance.

You are:

• Able to travel extensively, up to 75%, and be away for extended periods of time
• Must be located near an Aggreko facility, with up to 75% travel
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience with event and entertainment
• Experience servicing, testing and installing commercial HVAC or industrial diesel generators

• Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts
• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
