Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Technician I responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs across our diverse equipment fleet. You will work on aerial platforms, pumps, HVAC gear, generators, and other tools, with safety at the forefront.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience; knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is preferred, and Spanish or other language skills may be required by location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1–3 years of technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or oil & gas).
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible.
• Maintain safety standards and minimize downtime.

Technician I

This Technician role performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment to avoid downtime. Our fleet primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Specialty line locations may have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.

Physical Demands

Base Pay Range: $18.99 - $26.11
