Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, including aerial work platforms, generators, pumps, HVAC and related gear. This role emphasizes safety and efficient downtime avoidance while working with a collaborative team.

The position offers growth toward service or operations management and requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1–3 years of technician experience in relevant equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1–3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work with a variety of makes, models and equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, generators, pumps and HVAC systems.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

Sunbelt Rentals— the fastest growing rental business in North America— is seeking a Technician. This Technician role performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment, and may also feature large‑scale power‑generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.

Education or Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• May need to provide tools of trade
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Base Pay Range: $18.99 - $26.11

Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
