Job description

Technician Full-Time Tulsa Infinite Composites provides products for aerospace, aviation, defense, bulk gas transport and vehicular transportation markets. ICT's products provide the most efficient vessels for storing and transporting pressurized liquids and gases. Job Summary
  • Sets up composites parts for fabrication; reads and interprets engineering drawings, planning, process specifications, work instructions, and other documents to understand tooling, materials, sequence of operations, techniques, and accurately follow instructions related to composite layup and assembly manufacturing.
  • Identify nonconforming detail parts, assemblies and processes. Work with engineering to improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot fabrication problems, and recommend solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for operating industrial shop equipment (oven, automated filament winder, hydrostatic pressure tester, etc.).
  • Responsible for the machine setup, drilling, trimming, and cutting of various materials.
  • Responsible for preparing surfaces for bonding, applying paste, film, adhesives, primers, liquid polyurethane, and the curing process.
  • Responsible for the setup, printing, handling, assembly, and in-process inspection of 3D tooling.
  • Self-check work for compliance to engineering using hand held precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gages and scales.
  • Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non conformance issues.
  • Reports all non-conformances to manufacturing supervision and/or quality assurance.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to manufacturing supervision.
  • Reports job status and restraints to coworkers and supervision.
  • Identifies production inefficiencies and suggests potential improvements to product or process.
  • Responsible for handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties assigned by management
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to work 1st shift.
  • At least 2 years manufacturing, assembly, modification, or repair experience and/or formal technical training.
  • Must have experience with hand, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Candidates should possess a combination of solid mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience and the willingness and ability to learn.
  • Candidates must be able to become a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S as defined by ITAR 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of composite parts and assemblies.
  • Experience with composite materials and 3D printing is desired, but not required.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team, meet aggressive schedules, operate and understand engineering drawings, specifications and standards.
  • Knowledgeable and able to use computer systems for office and shop applications.
  • Skilled in listening and interpersonal participation, and able to work with others as part of a team which includes giving and receiving feedback, and assisting others in completion of tasks.
  • Able to complete and maintain all required training and certifications needed to do your job efficiently.
