Holt of California in Pleasant Grove, CA is seeking a skilled technician responsible for mechanical repairs and services on a full line of Caterpillar heavy equipment. You will diagnose equipment, perform repairs, and ensure safe operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus several years of experience; you will use diagnostic tools, read reports, and work independently or with a team, upholding safety standards and documenting service work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer.
• Troubleshoot problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
• Able to diagnose and repair hydraulics and attachment components.
• Replace broken or defective parts.
• Reassemble equipment and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
• Responsible for the confirmation of the equipment function after repair.
• Perform safety inspection prior to being released.

Position Summary

Responsible for the mechanical repairs and services on a full line of Caterpillar heavy equipment products.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer.

• Able to diagnose and repair hydraulics and attachment components.

• Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
• Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements.
• Maintain an organized and neat work area.
• Complete service report on each repair.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools required.
• Capable of working independently or within a team
• Other duties may be assigned.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Compensation

Wage Range $34.73 to $44.03. Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job. Hourly rate of pay as negotiated with Operating Engineers, Local #3. Excellent company-paid benefits including medical, dental, retirement, vacations and holidays.
