Job summary

Pavion is seeking a qualified Fire Alarm Technician in Odessa, FL to service, troubleshoot, and program fire alarm, burglar, CCTV, and access control systems. You will ensure equipment is functional, diagnose issues, replace components, and provide remote support as needed.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience with fire alarm systems or NICET II, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Replace system components such as panels and alarms.
• Provide remote technical support to customers and troubleshoot signal issues.
• Interact professionally with customers and coordinate with management.
• Inform dispatcher/manager on service status and actions needed.
• Test and inspect fire alarm systems.
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join our fire business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service, Troubleshoot & program burglar alarms, fire alarms, closed circuit television, & access control systems
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
• Interact professionally with customers
• Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
• Inform dispatcher and or manager the status of service to take appropriate action
• Perform test and inspect fire alarm systems
• Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment

Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of experience with servicing fire alarm systems or NICET II
• Valid Driver Licenses and acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of national and local alarm codes including NFPA 72, NEC, & Florida Building Code
• Must be able to demonstrate responsibility in being on time, regular consistent work attendance, good communication and completing all necessary field documentation as needed
• The ability to carry and climb step/extension ladders where needed and lift objects up to 50 pounds when needed
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer/tablet skills

The hourly pay range for this position is $38.00–$45.00 per hour . The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
