Job summary

Donatech Corporation in Maple Grove, MN seeks an assembly technician to perform electronic and mechanical assemblies on ordnance products, reading drawings, and following work instructions; must be able to work overtime including weekends as needed.

The candidate will use test equipment, contribute to continuous improvement, and generate test data; US citizenship required; 2-year technical degree or 2+ years of technician experience; up to 35 lb lift.

Qualifications

• Must have a 2-year technical degree or at least 2 years as a technician.
• Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
• Must follow written and verbal work instructions and understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance products.
• Assist team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and transition products into production.
• Perform tests using electronics test equipment and generate test report data.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety policies.

Job description

Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech. US Citizenship Required.

Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and follow written and verbal work instructions. Must be able and willing to work additional hours when required, including weekends as needed. Perform repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance products. Perform duties assisting team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, troubleshooting and transitioning products into production.

Required skills include proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools and hand tools.

Specific skills include:

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
• Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, test with near zero defects.
• Must be able to demonstrate high degree of mechanical aptitude and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
• Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (ie. Scopes, meters, etc) and generate test report data.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
• Must be able to up to 35 lb.

2-year technical degree or a Minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
