Job summary

A leading Aero-Defense company located in Florida is seeking a Technician to perform various electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tasks. The ideal candidate will work from engineering drawings and schematics to build assemblies and report discrepancies. Experience in an assembly setting and a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude are required. This role requires compliance with safety protocols and the ability to modify and repair test equipment accordingly.

Job description

MUST BE A US CITIZEN (ITAR REQUIREMENT). Support a Fortune 500 Aero-Defense Company as a Technician.

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive manufacturing of cables, prototypes, and production assemblies; repairing field and lab assets; and manufacturing initial builds working with Engineering. Candidates should be able to work from schematics, engineering drawings and models, and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Candidate shall modify/repair test equipment and prototypes according to drawing, specifications, or engineering liaison. Candidate is responsible for performing all assigned duties in a safe and compliant manner and apprising supervision of all issues that could impact our business.

Seeking candidates that have experience with engineering first drafts in an assembly setting. The selected candidates will be responsible for building assemblies and reporting back any engineering discrepancies they find before they hit the production floor. Requires mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to determine when something needs to be rectified on an engineering drawing.
