Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer to support a high-impact, multi-agency program serving the United States Space Force (USSF)/Space Systems Command (SSC), the United States Air Force (USAF), and other key mission stakeholders. The selected candidate will author, edit, and proofreading a wide range of technical documentation for a large-scale SATCOM system.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical, writing, or related discipline and 8+ years of experience.
5+ years of technical writing experience for software and engineering documents.
Experience creating large, multi-volume technical documents.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to gather requirements and translate technical information into written documentation.
Collaborate with engineers and PMs to deliver clear, compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

Oversee collection, organization, and analysis of technical information for documentation.
Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, test engineers, and other technical personnel to gather data and media.
Edit and refine descriptions, specifications, and manuals for accuracy and clarity.
Perform QA reviews to verify compliance with standards and requirements.
Maintain document configuration management, version control, and traceability.
