Job summary

Planet Works, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software and systems engineering, installation and configuration guides, and end-user materials.

The role requires an active TS clearance with polygraph and a strong background in technical writing. Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree with eight years of relevant experience, with additional years offsetting degree requirements considered.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Additional work experience may offset a lack of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
• Write and edit technical documentation for all the project’s hardware and software pertaining to installation, configuration, and how-to-documentation and create code documentation for software.
• Produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities, provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation, and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.
