Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Technical Writer to support a growing engineering team by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documents, reports, and procedures.

You’ll work with engineers to ensure accuracy and clarity while conforming to established standards. The role includes building an internal documentation repository, using MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe tools, and producing briefings for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Secret Clearance to start.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years of experience.
• Strong written communication and ability to simplify complex topics.
• Advanced MS Word capabilities (formatting, templates, cross referencing).
• Advanced MS PowerPoint capabilities (design, animations, data visualization).
• Attention to detail and proofreading.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical and policy documentation.
• Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other sources.
• Responsible for writing/editing technical copy for various types of documents.
• Maintain a current internal documentation library with version control.
• Use MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, etc. for documents and presentations.
• Prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences.
• Coordinate layout and design of documents and briefings.
• Research highly technical subject matter and translate information for diverse readers.
• Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings to blend large quantities of information.
