Qualifications

• Proficient in producing technical documentation with MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Visio.
• Able to gather information from technical sources and present it clearly.
• Able to incorporate feedback, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a team environment.
• Secret clearance and HS diploma or GED are required.

The Opportunity: Create, revise, and maintain operational, instructional, maintenance, and test documentation for print and digital delivery. Gather information from engineering drawings, source data, and subject‑matter experts, then translate it into clear content for military and technical audiences. Create or apply established templates and customer standards, incorporate review comments, and support document control, validation, and contract deliverables activities. Complete routine assignments independently and perform complex work with guidance from senior team members. Works without considerable oversight or direction.

You Have

• 5+ years of experience with DoD technical documentation or a military, defense agency, acquisition, or weapon‑system program
• 5+ years of experience writing, editing, or maintaining technical documentation
• 5+ years of experience developing content such as manuals, procedures, reports, or training materials for technical or government audiences
• Knowledge of grammar, document formatting, editing, and version‑control practices
• Ability to proficiently produce technical documentation using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or Visio
• Ability to gather information from technical sources and subject‑matter experts and present it clearly
• Ability to incorporate feedback, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a team environment
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have

• Experience with a military specification or structured‑authoring standard, such as MIL-STD-40051, MIL-STD-38784, S1000D, or DITA
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD).
