Qualifications

• 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 4 years with a Master's in related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Experience producing technical documentation in a structured environment.
• Ability to write system engineering reports, software development reports, manuals, presentations, etc.
• Ability to define CM processes (check-out/check-in, build, release) and implement them.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Excel, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.
• Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, with SAP/SPR clearances.
• Work Environment: On-site, not eligible for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Collect accurate technical information from engineers, developers, sysadmins, and operators.
• Record detailed data from system operations, integration activities, and demonstrations.
• Maintain understanding of systems to reflect actual operational behavior.
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to extract details.
• Create and maintain installation guides, test procedures, troubleshooting steps, and workflows.
• Standardize formatting across headers, footers, fonts, tables, and terminology.
• Generate checklists, process flows, and supporting forms.
• Maintain version control and document revision histories.
• Perform first-line quality reviews for accuracy and readability.
• Coordinate reviews with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy.
• Track progress and review status in the document tracker.
• Capture technical steps in real time during tests and bring-up activities.
• Translate complex technical language into clear instructions for managers and operators.
• Identify gaps and propose content improvements.
• Collaborate with government/contractor stakeholders and engineering teams.
