Harley-Davidson Motor Company is seeking a Technical Writer for the onsite role in Jun ea u. The writer develops and publishes technical support information used by internal staff, dealership technicians, and customers to maintain and repair Harley-Davidson motorcycles and related products.

The position requires strong technical writing, XML/HTML publishing, and collaboration with Developmental Service Engineering to ensure accuracy, timelines, and clear procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• 2+ years writing technical procedures for mechanical products.
• Proficient with XML (or HTML) publishing of technical content.
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to work with changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research product changes using engineering information systems including BOMs, CAD models and drawings.
• Collaborate with Developmental Service Engineering to develop and validate technical content for maintenance and repair of motorcycles.
• Support timing goals for product launch activities.
• Arbitrate stakeholder input to achieve timely results.
• Compose clear procedures and coordinate development of supporting figures/illustrations.
