Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Technical Writer for a position at Lackland AFB–San Antonio, Texas. The role involves creating clear, accurate manuals, training materials, and other technical documentation for DoD programs, with emphasis on C3I&N systems.

The ideal candidate will be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance, proficient in MS Office, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Background investigations are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen required.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Bachelor of Science in business or four years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Experience with MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with MS Project and MS Access.
• Tongue and Quill experience a plus.
• Background investigations required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documents for DoD programs, including training manuals and user guides.
• Edit, review, and ensure materials comply with agency policies and styles.
• Coordinate with program managers, system engineers, and subject-matter experts to capture accurate specifications.
• Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to accompany technical publications.
• Publish and distribute manuals and training materials to appropriate audiences.
