Job summary

Sentar is seeking a Technical Writer 2 in Hanover, MD to prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents across hardware and software projects. You will create installation and user guides, as well as software code documentation and implementation guides.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with active poly, a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, and six years of experience on similar programs. On-site work and collaboration with engineers are essential.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with active poly required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline required.
• Six (6) years experience as a Technical Writer on programs of similar scope.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications.
• Gather technical information, prepare written text.
• Maintain a current internal documentation library.
• Use MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio to produce documents.
• Work with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials.
• Coordinate layout and design of documents.
• Research highly technical subject matter and organize information for a wide audience.
• Produce documentation for DoD electronic equipment and systems.

Education
