SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Technical Writer I to produce and improve technical documentation. You will collaborate with Engineering teams to write user guides, proposals, and process documentation, ensuring compliance with standards.
The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree and has at least one year of experience in technical writing. This position is based in Middletown, RI, with no travel required. Competitive benefits including health, retirement, and paid time off are offered.
SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Technical Writer I.
The Technical Writer writes and edits proposals; process documentation; technical reports, user guides, and procedures; and/or marketing materials for internal use, customer programs, or wider publication. This person researches and analyzes available literature, works closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), verifies copy with appropriate reviewers, and may coordinate production and distribution of materials. They are most often embedded with Engineering project teams, supporting the documentation of projects.
Associate's Degree in any discipline. Advanced technical training packages (such as Navy Advanced Training “C” School) can be substituted for an Associate's Degree.
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in technical writing/editing.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
