Job summary

As a Technical Writer you will create detailed literature for internal and customer-facing uses, working with NPD, Product Engineering, Controls, Quality, Field Services, and Project Management to transform complex topics into user-friendly content.

Qualifications

• Degree or 2+ years in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Engineering or Manufacturing Technology or related field.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Proficient with Adobe and similar editing programs.
• Prefer HVAC industry writing experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; ability to review units/materials on the production floor.
• Familiarity with version control and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including service guides, manuals, and datasheets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of literature content.
• Organize and archive internal documentation for easy access.
• Maintain log of field modifications and update submittal documentation accordingly.
• Develop style guides and ensure adherence across materials.
• Stay up to date with latest controls releases and KCC products.
