Job summary

SAIC at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, seeks a Technical Writer to join a fast-paced QRC Integration team under Army DEVCOM. The role focuses on producing high-quality technical documentation, IETMs, and governance artifacts to support operational and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technical writing experience, knowledge of MIL-STD standards, and clearance prerequisites (Top Secret with SCI eligibility).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years of experience.
• Experience creating MIL-STD documents and IETMs.
• Experience with secured documentation at a secured location.
• Strong writing standards and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineers, PMs and SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, maintenance, and management of technical documentation and governance artifacts.
• Ensure information is clear, accurate, and supports decision-making.
• Author structured content, validate accuracy and compliance, manage governance materials.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and SMEs; act as the primary authority on technical authorship and documentation quality.
