Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Technical Writer/Editor to join our team. In this role, you will perform integrated, multidisciplinary assessments to evaluate the survivability of critical U.S. Air Force mission systems, infrastructures, and assets.

The Air Force Mission Assurance Assessment Team requires specialized technical, analytical, and investigative support to develop and conduct comprehensive assessments of installations and facilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support mission assurance assessment team requirements, assessment reports, staffing, coordination, and processing deliverables according to MAA timelines.
  • Produce fact-based documents and reports detailing MAA products and services and their functionalities.
  • Gain and maintain an understanding of MA products and applications, then design and write documentation to support user requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Familiarity with mission assurance concepts.
  • At least 6 years of experience in producing and editing technical documents, including writing for non-technical audiences (relevant BS degree in science, math, information systems, or engineering can substitute for up to two years of experience).
  • Experience supporting technical writing within engineering teams.
  • Proficiency with the latest Microsoft Office suite or equivalent.
  • Additional skills may include:
  • Consolidating technical inputs into logical, understandable documents.
  • Reading engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpreting and synthesizing technical information for non-technical readers.
  • Uploading content onto websites using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) web authoring tools.
  • Integrating graphics into documents with COTS tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of pre-assessment, assessment, and post-assessment activities, including onsite vulnerability and risk assessments.
  • Must hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% annually.
  • Possession of a valid US passport.

Desired Skills:

  • 10+ years of technical writing experience supporting system engineering teams developing vulnerability assessments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field.

Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret

This position is part of our Federal Solutions team, delivering resources to US government clients for missions worldwide. We foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and pride in protecting critical assets.

Salary Range: $29.95 - $52.40 per hour.
