Job Opportunity: Writer for Society & Culture Team at PEOPLE

Position Details:

• Role: Writer for the Society & Culture team at PEOPLE
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST
• Location: Remote
• Duration: 3 months, with potential extension
• Pay rate: $30 per hour

Responsibilities & Expectations

1. Write a minimum of 5 stories daily, including breaking news and galleries
2. Possess a broad knowledge of internet culture, social media, and celebrities across generations
3. Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to breaking news, producing clean copy swiftly
4. Identify compelling headlines in lengthy articles or interviews
5. Understand the PEOPLE voice and audience, and craft engaging, buzzy news stories
