Job summary

Vals AI, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to shape how we explain AI evaluation, benchmarks, and policy discussions.

You will write across product evaluation tools (Vals Smith), public benchmarks, and policy/standards coverage, collaborating with research, engineering, product, and customer teams to produce sharp, accessible content. You will interview customers and researchers, ghostwrite for leadership, and help decide what topics to pursue—aiming to establish Vals as a trusted voice on AI

Qualifications

• Candidate has a portfolio of long-form technical writing (essays, research blog posts, lab posts, or industry reporting).
• Strong technical literacy with ability to read papers and participate in reviews and extract accurate write-ups.
• Editorial POV to push back on weak takes and craft unique angles.
• Ability to publish a post quickly after a major model release.

Responsibilities

• Interview customers, researchers, engineers, and technical leaders and turn conversations into long-form pieces.
• Establish Vals Smith as a leading enterprise evaluation resource through launches, case studies, and original analysis.
• Ghostwrite and edit for Vals leadership and technical teams.
• Help decide content topics beyond a calendar to shape the brand narrative.
