Job summary

Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Mid Level Technical Writer to support the development of technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, training materials, and operational documentation for U.S. Coast Guard systems and Moodle LMS environments.

You will translate technical concepts into user-friendly materials, document workflows, and assist with proposal and compliance documentation. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of federal technical writing experience, IT and cybersecurity documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3–5 years of technical writing experience supporting federal programs
  • Experience developing IT and cybersecurity documentation
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and software development documentation
  • Strong editing, formatting, and document management skills
  • Experience supporting DHS or DoD environments preferred

Job Description:

Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Mid Level Technical Writer to support the development of technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, training materials, and operational documentation supporting U.S. Coast Guard systems and Moodle LMS environments.

Duties:

  • Document workflows, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Support proposal and compliance documentation efforts

Salary Range:

Pay range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated salary range is $85,000.000-$95,000.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
