Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Wallingford, CT seeks a Technical Writer to support Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing by creating, reviewing, and releasing technical documentation and manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities include configuration control, Oracle maintenance support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely documentation of processes.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher in a technical discipline is preferred; occupational and/or military experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; strong computer skills including fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
• Hands on experience with coaxial cable assembly manufacturing is a plus.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment is required.
• Familiar with 3D solid modeling software & data vaulting is a plus.
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing.
• Experience with and/or exposure to AS9100 quality standards is a plus.
• Experience interpreting work instructions to connect test equipment is preferred.
• Prior experience with mechanical and electrical operation of test equipment is preferred.
• Prior experience reading and interpreting specs (blueprints, schematics, etc.) is preferred.
• Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems is a plus.
• Industry experience 3+ years minimum is preferred.

Summary
