Optomi, in partnership with a leading distribution company, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support enterprise documentation efforts across major system initiatives including Salesforce and SAP. This role will be instrumental in developing clear, user-friendly documentation that bridges the gap between technical complexity and operational clarity for large-scale transformation programs.

The ideal candidate has a proven record of success documenting enterprise systems, particularly Salesforce, with the ability to communicate complex data migrations and process changes in a way that’s accessible for non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for enterprise initiatives, including SOPs, user guides, process flows, training guides, and governance frameworks.
• Partner with project managers, enterprise PMO leaders, and technical SMEs to capture and document system integrations, business processes, and data standards across Product, Supply Chain, and IT.
• Translate technical and business requirements from systems such as Salesforce and SAP into accessible, structured materials tailored to multiple audiences — from executives to operational users.
• Document complex workstreams related to Data Migration, Distribution Centers, Software & Configuration, and Integrations/EDI.
• Support transformation readiness by ensuring all system and process changes are clearly communicated, minimizing confusion and project delays.
• Ensure all deliverables meet enterprise documentation standards for consistency, clarity, and version control.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Writer in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience documenting enterprise systems, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce (finance, procurement, supply chain).
• Working knowledge of SAP documentation.
• Strong understanding of data migrations and related technical processes.
• Ability to produce documentation tailored for non-technical and operational users.
• Experience creating and managing SOPs and user guides.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background supporting blue-collar industries such as manufacturing, distribution, or warehousing.
• Experience with Credit/AR migrations.
• Exposure to change management and training documentation.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Experience supporting or documenting within a PMO or enterprise transformation environment.
