Responsibilities

  • Provides technical/management leadership for creating accurate technical documents for infrastructure engineering and implementation activities
  • Establishes documentation standards for detailed infrastructure diagrams ensuring compliance with DOS and DT security requirements
  • Directs creation of technical documents and diagrams for all server installation activities across global enterprise
  • Establishes documentation strategy for site surveys and recommendations for renovations, infrastructure components, and physical placement of equipment
  • Establishes documentation standards for comprehensive project plans and schedules for all special projects
  • Establishes SOPs for deployments with semi-annual reviews ensuring continuous improvement and recommended improvements implementation
  • Directs installation and upgrade schedule documentation with weekly updates ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Directs deployment tracking report strategy for post self-installs and installation team activities
  • Provides technical/management leadership on major assignments, establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives, and directs activities with overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing

The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Technical Writer for the Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) contract, supporting the Department of State. Responsibilities

Qualifications: Required –
  • BA/BS + 13 years of relevant experience; equivalencies considered
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Extensive experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining complex technical documentation supporting enterprise IT, infrastructure engineering, systems implementation, and/or modernization programs
  • Demonstrated ability to translate highly technical engineering concepts, architectures, processes, and requirements into clear, accurate documentation for technical, management, and Government audiences
  • Experience developing and enforcing documentation standards, templates, SOPs, technical plans, implementation guides, site survey reports, and operational procedures
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical diagrams, system/infrastructure documentation, deployment documentation, and project schedules in collaboration with engineering and operations teams
  • Demonstrated experience managing document lifecycle, configuration/version control, quality reviews, and approval processes across large or complex programs
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, project managers, and Government stakeholders to collect, validate, and communicate technical information
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and methodologies and documentation supporting IT service delivery, deployment, and operational environments
  • Exceptional written communication, editing, and quality assurance skills with demonstrated ability to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, compliance, and usability across program documentation
Desired –
  • Prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of State
  • Experience supporting large-scale, geographically dispersed or global IT environments
  • Familiarity with Federal documentation, security, configuration management, and records management requirements
  • ITIL, PMP, technical writing, or related professional certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,800 - $217,500
