Technical Writer & Change Management Specialist P3
Location: Seattle or Orlando (onsite)
Duration: 12+ month contract (potential for extension)
Compensation: $77-$85/hour

As a Technical Writer & Change Management Specialist in this company's Enterprise Technology & Data IAM group, you will play a key role in supporting the IAM Transformation journey. This transformation focuses on enhancing the end-user experience, consolidating technology stacks, and improving information security through proper lifecycle management for all employees.

In this role, you will produce documentation that explains how IAM products and processes work, and you will help prepare people across the organization to adopt them. You will partner closely with the Organizational Change Management lead, and collaborate with Service Management, Engineering, and Identity Operations teams, to document functional and process changes and drive adoption. The goal is to make IAM products and platforms simple, seamless, and secure for cast members, employees, and partners across the company's business segments and corporate functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation for IAM products, platforms, and processes.
• Collaborate with IAM engineers, product owners, and operations teams to translate complex technical concepts into accessible content for a wide audience, including leadership, end users, and application owners.
• Document functional changes, operational processes, and adoption workflows in support of IAM Transformation initiatives.
• Create training materials, FAQs, job aids, and user guides that support both day-to-day operations and change adoption.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog refinement to ensure documentation aligns with current development efforts.
• Review and maintain IAM content repositories, ensuring version control, accuracy, and accessibility.

Organizational Change Management

• Support the development of core OCM deliverables, including the Change Approach, Stakeholder Analysis, and Change Impact Assessments.
• Assist with OCM project planning and tracking, including maintaining change plans, timelines, and status reporting across multiple IAM initiatives.
• Develop Change communications, such as announcements, emails, intranet content, leadership talking points, and presentations, tailored to diverse audiences.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities, including coordinating stakeholder meetings, forums, and feedback sessions, and maintaining stakeholder and change network contacts.
• Help measure adoption and readiness by gathering stakeholder feedback, tracking engagement, and identifying areas where additional communication or support is needed.
• Continuously gather feedback from stakeholders to improve the clarity, usability, and effectiveness of documentation and change materials.

• Working understanding of Agile methodologies and experience delivering documentation in sprint-based development environments.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to establish credibility and productive working relationships across a broad range of roles and levels.
• Attention to detail, process-oriented, and committed to follow-through on tasks.
• Team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical writing within large-scale enterprises, preferably supporting IAM, enterprise platforms, or collaboration ecosystems.
• 3+ years of experience supporting organizational change management activities, such as change communications, stakeholder analysis, or training and adoption efforts.
• 3+ years of experience contributing to large, transformational IT initiatives.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management technologies and enterprise security principles.
• Familiarity with change management methodologies (such as Prosci ADKAR or ACMP Standard); CCMP or Prosci certification a plus.
• Experience creating documentation for Agile and iterative software development environments.
• Experience supporting change initiatives across large, global, or highly matrixed organizations.
• Advanced knowledge of technical writing tools, content management platforms, and visual communication tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Snagit, Visio, or similar).

Must have
