Amazon is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join its Project Kuiper team, responsible for crafting and maintaining vital technical documentation for complex aerospace systems. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in technical writing, collaboration skills, and a degree in a writing-related field.
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Writer to join the Kuiper team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation that supports engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance. This includes manuals, specifications, user guides, maintenance instructions, and system documentation for complex aerospace systems and components. The Technical Writer will collaborate closely with engineers, subject matter experts, and project managers to ensure documentation is accurate, clear, and compliant with industry standards. A strong understanding of aerospace terminology and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible content is essential.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $129,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
