Cepeda is seeking a Technical Writer to provide onsite support at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The role supports a multidisciplinary team of software, test, and systems engineers responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining complex training software.

• Review documentation to ensure compliance with policies, requirements, standards, and processes.

Cepeda is seeking a Technical Writer to provide onsite support at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The position supports a multidisciplinary team of software, test, and systems engineers responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining complex training software. Must be adept at working in environments that require both self‑direction and close collaboration, contributing to high‑quality, actionable requirements and reliable system performance.

Responsibilities

• Author, revise, and maintain technical documentation, including reference manuals, operating procedures, system descriptions, process flows, diagrams, and other program deliverables.
• Produce documentation that is technically accurate, concise, complete, consistently formatted, and appropriate for intended users and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with software, test, and systems engineers to collect, validate, and organize technical and program information.
• Translate complex technical concepts and information from multiple sources into clear, usable written products.
• Review documentation to ensure compliance with applicable policies, program requirements, organizational standards, and established processes.

Qualifications

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required

Required Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with collaboration and document-management platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, or comparable tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar, formatting, organization, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting U.S. Army, DoW, defense, systems engineering, software development, or training-system programs, including missile defense programs.
• Experience developing technical documentation for complex software, hardware, or integrated systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining POA&Ms, status reports, and other project-management support artifacts.
