Job summary

Catalent's Greenville, NC site is seeking a Technical Writer to develop and update essential manufacturing documentation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will support audits, coordinate approvals, and maintain documentation systems for manufacturing and packaging activities.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, onsite in Greenville, NC, with opportunities to contribute across cross-functional projects and drive improvements in electronic document systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of technical writing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with GMP documentation requirements and quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather information for Master Batch Records, protocols, and related change control documents.
  • Review documents for accuracy, executability, and formatting consistency with input from Operations.
  • Maintain the documentation database and ensure inputs meet company standards.

Catalent’s Greenville, North Carolina site is a major oral solid dose development and manufacturing campus, delivering end‑to‑end, turnkey solutions from formulation development through commercial manufacturing and packaging. Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts to create and update essential documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will support manufacturing and packaging activities by maintaining documentation systems and coordinating approvals. This position offers the chance to contribute to cross‑functional projects and play a key role in supporting audits and regulatory requirements.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

The Role
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information for creating or updating documents such as Master Batch Records and protocols, and coordinate related change control documents
  • Review documents with subject matter experts and Operations personnel to ensure accuracy, executability, and consistent formatting
  • Maintain accuracy of the documentation database and ensure inputs meet company standards
  • Assist in making inputs to the Manufacturing Resource Planning system in preparation for manufacturing events
  • Close out help desk tickets related to document corrections and updates
  • Provide requested information during client and FDA audits
  • Participate in cross‑functional project development team activities
  • Support the continued implementation of electronic document software systems
  • Coordinate document approvals across the organization
  • Respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities for multiple business units in packaging and manufacturing
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM‑related field; OR
  • Associate degree in a STEM‑related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • At least one year of technical writing experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to administer quality system programs and resources
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice documentation requirements
  • Proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Professional, and database management software
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, as well as project and resource management skills
